You've probably heard that more and more airports are using therapy animals to help ease the anxiety that many travelers have about flying. But while most airports use dogs as a means of emotional comfort, San Francisco International Airport employs a very special therapy pig instead. Her name is Lilou, and she's just one of the many certified therapy animals who make up the airport's "Wag Brigade."

According to the bio on her website, Lilou was born in Michigan four years ago, and moved to San Francisco just two months later to achieve the classic California dream of being "young, beautiful, famous, and fabulous!"

She certainly did it. In January 2016, she became the first certified therapy pig in the Animal Assisted Therapy Program with San Francisco's Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SF SPCA). Now, she greets travelers from all over the world, glamorously dressed in tutus, bows, and red non-toxic nail polish.

Other days, you might find her wearing a classic pilot's cap.

Sometimes, she even greets passengers by playing on a toy piano, which has to be one of the best things you could possibly see when getting off of a long flight.

When she's not at the airport, Lilou brings her special healing powers to hospitals and retirement homes in the area. Of course, she also likes to enjoy some R&R with her humans.
